The Wedding and After Wedding :)

Hello Peeps,

It has been a wild and crazy ride since I last wrote in my blog. Hopefully things will mellow after our move and we will be less stressed and get on with the baby making :)

The wedding-was wonderful! We had two hours of sunshine for our outdoor ceremony on April 8 and I like to think that is my late grandfathers and my husbands’ grandparents’ gift to us, which to be honest was the best gift I could ask for. :) We had everyone we wanted come to our ceremony and it was beautiful and we had some amazing pictures, everything flowed beautifully. On April 9 the reception, it was STRESSFUL and I think my parents and grandmothers had anxiety attacks amongst other things. The reception too was wonderful, there were a few things that I would have changed (like the DJ) but otherwise perfect and we have some amazing pictures and memories with some wonderful people. (As soon as I get my pictures uploaded to my computer/ (it was locked inaccessible for almost 2 weeks!) I will post some of my favs.) My parents are superheroes and my best Ruby and her husband-the best friends I could ask for (they did an incredible amount for the wedding and for us and they deserve medals) :)! On another note we got some beautiful/incredibly useful presents and are incredibly thankful!

The vakay!- Was amazingly relaxing, we stayed in a really nice bed and breakfast and loved not being constrained to time or a schedule! We did what we wanted, when we wanted and enjoyed every minute! Not often we get to get away for a bit! A week was great! We also appreciated having the extra money from our wedding to get to do more things.  :) (Pics will be posted as well!)

The after wedding- getting back to the swing of things, at first sad everything was over but at the same time thankful we don’t have to deal with the vendors, or paying people large sums of money anymore! We also are moving because we refuse to pay our enormous paycheck consuming rent anymore, I mean who wouldn’t? We decided on Fairfax the Fairlakes area although we are having a hard time finding something reasonably priced, with the amount of room we want, with a shuttle to the metro, and that doesn’t have completely trashed ratings on apartment ratings.com. We wanted a townhouse or condo but with the wedding bills in addition to our other bills not completely paid off we are probably going to end up at an apartment again. Not ideal but what can you do.

Hopefully we can move to SC in a few years and buy a place down there!! Plus we want to save money to go on an actual honeymoon (ie our Alaskan cruise :) :) :) ). So right now we are packing and packing and packing in anticipation of not being crazy stressed in July and I am studying for my CBP test at the end of June (or relearning what I learned in my class in April being the class and the test are over 2 months apart)!

The baby making-We are trying went to a new OB/GYN that my friend recommended and she was wonderful, she reassured us and I know I feel better and normal. Nothing yet but we are optimistic and trying (being the operative word) to relax and not make it stressful (even though it’s really hard not to think about it when you want it really bad). Plus we had a setback with not being able to try for a few weeks due to my husband not feeling well at all and having an allergic reaction to something (we have yet to figure out). He is doing better now thank goodness and we can continue, just in time. :)

First Married Valentine's Day together & 1 month left!

SO i have the most wonderful husband in the world, to throw that out there first. He takes such good care of me and I love when he surprises me because it is usually so thoughtful and loving. For Valentine's Day I got shoes!!! He surprised me by saying he would buy two pairs of shoes for me when we went to DSW this past weekend. Black, Platform, Chunky Heeled, high heels and a black pair of kelly and kate sandals (a little back story, I had silver ones/same brand last year and I wore them completely out! I hate throwing away shoes but the husband insisted. :( ) Then on Valentine's Day he sent me a sweet text and picked me up from work with a single red rose, I was very surprised and then he said he had the vase at home ready for it, I got home after I dropped him off at work and there were a dozen pink and white roses! I love them! Will include pictures later. But needless to say I was shocked and so happy. :) Our first married Valentine's Day even though we both had to work it was really perfect.

In other news his mum is still in the hospital, I personally think they are taking advantage of her, and no one can seem to do anything to help. They need to pick a way to do something and do it and quit messing around. Unfortunately not much to report on that, we have been calling incessantly and visiting as much as we can. Send good wishes for her improved health. We all need them.

Which leads me to a happier less stressful topic, TTC we tried a handful of times this month and I took a test this morning and it said no so I will try the test again in a few days before the red days and then we have a new month to continue trying. We both really want a baby and are so ready for one. :)

The wedding, stressful, weddings are stressful and people and relationships are defined I think by what happens around weddings. At least for me it will. We got another reply back last night where his uncle (whom there was issues inviting his girlfriend, internal family things *I didn't want to get involved!*), but we were like fine, whatever invite her, so they responded with a 3 instead of 2 on the reply card, how rude is it to add people who were not invited, that takes away from people who actually were but have not responded yet. It is very aggravating! We have a cap!!! I'll let the husband deal with that, although I am still waiting for him or his sister to find a DJ. We only have a month left! I will be happy when I know everything turned out good and we can save money for travel, our kids, moving. Etc.

On a final note, my husband got a new phone the Dell Streak and it's pretty freaking awesome, a tablet phone who would have thought, although I am going to pre order my new phone today, the Motorola Atrix looks freaking amazing and being a Biometric geek I love the fingerprint scanner access, March 6 I think or sooner is the release!

How's everyone else doing?

P.S. I have gotten a lot of really great deals online lately! I feel so accomplished :)

Uggggg!!!

I realize it's been a week, but things are ridiculous, work, husband's schedule change, wedding, his family in the hospital, soo much stress! We are also still TTC on top of it all and keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Tomorrow is husband and mine first married Valentine's day and we already exchanged presents, we are like kids and couldn't wait.<3 I got two pairs of shoes and he got a sweater and a replaced tie tack for the one that got broke. Plus I found this hilarious card company on Etsy that does these sarcastic cards and he loved it! Also less than two months to the wedding!!!! Will keep up more with this. Promise!

Super bowl, Yay Packers!

Last night was Super Bowl now in years past if I didn't care about either teams I just didn't watch the game, this year I wanted the Steelers to lose. It was a great game with lots of action, I missed the opening song but i heard it was dreadful... The halftime show which I was looking forward to sucked, and I like the Black Eyed Peas but really horrible. As for the commericials not too many terribly funny ones, but two of my favorites were the Beetle Commercial and the little kid dressed up like Darth Vader. So cute! Overall, even though I am not normally a Green Bay fan I am quite happy they won and left the Steelers in the dust.

On the home front, husband's schedule changed AGAIN, and they are really aggravating us. Luckily I hope *fingers crossed* it changes back soon! Also we really just ran errands and lounged around the house. Nothing to terribly earthshattering, although I did buy and order a lot of things for the wedding and I can't wait to get them. :)
How's everyones week looking?

It's been awhile....

Since I wrote my last post, seriously! Things get so out of control and I can hardly keep up. But as I am here I will update you on the latest happenings:
1. Husband and I started TTC early! He's really excited as am I, but trying not to think about it.
2. Ran lots of errands yesterday and just felt really productive lately :)
3. I have the sweetest husband in the world who makes the little things really count.
4. I hate this weather, pick a way and stay there!
5. Work has been crazy hectic..... looks like things are getting busy!
6. Cut out all caffeine (except the little green tea has, does that count?) and eating better as I promised in my New Years post.
7. Doing things with hubby like take stairs instead of elevator, little things to try and get in shape.
8. Heading to my Mum's for her birthday tomorrow (as long as the weather is driveable), Happy Groundhogs Day!
9. Taking care of wedding stuff a day at a time, buying stuff as I go because I am realizing some things are going to take 4-7 weeks to get made!
10. Taking the time to relax with husband before we go crazy and on the side doing research for a new place to live when our lease is up this summer!

SO much to think about and do, but I will be happy when everything turns our like we want!
How's your week going?

Shoes and Purses!

Got my Vince Camuto shoes, that I mentioned in the last post, and they are as cute on as in the picture! I love them, and they match my personality very well. I had a girl at work ask, "how can you wear such high shoes?" my reply was it takes practice, they look cute, and they are more comfortable than they look. I have actually been on a shoe hunt since beginning of January since I needed to get rid of the ones I don't wear or are too old and get more ones that I will actually wear more than once. Plus, every single pair I have bought have been on sale at DSW, I have had coupons, or giftcards and just used them wisely. :) I love getting more that way!

Yay!
Also, in other news Ideeli had a amazing 5 hour sale Sunday night. I managed to be one of the only if few people to actually get what I wanted which was the Pierto Alessandro 2081 Small Shopper for $38! Normally I don't actually get to buy what I want because everything sells out so quickly or is on hold or sold within a second of the sale opening. Anyways, yay! I got it because I would not have paid regular price for it right now (with the wedding expenses) plus it's different from what I already have. (I tend to carry black purses a lot which go with everything, but they get boring).  Between this and the BCBG Persimmon colored purse I also got on Ideeli really cheap last week (that came with a purse hanger, genius!) I am very happy.
***Side note: I actually already used the BCBG purse when I went to dinner with my friend the other night and it had a ton of pockets as well, kept everything very organized. Will look great with the Spring colors or a pop of color with black clothes!

Imagine this in a redish orange color! Perfect!

Now I should explain my husband thinks I am crazy because I collect shoes and purses, but both never criticize your body or emphasize things they shouldn't! They always more or less look good unless you go to some major extreme! Regardless, my husband is wonderful, he laughs at me when I get really excited about getting things on sale and never tells me I can't because he knows I am responsible! (He gets what he wants as well, (he's a technology/gaming buff! so it works out in the end!)

I was also looking at this purse or this purse or both from Handbag Heaven to round out my handbag wardrobe as I am also getting rid of small, older ones and making my accessories more rounded out/grownup. What do you think?

Have a good day!

Girl time, parents weekend, and cleaning...

Vince Camuto Women's Canasta Clog,Black,10 M USFriday I had a ridiculous day at work, completely busy all day and was forward to going home. Came home after I dropped husband off at work and cleaned. Then I took the metro for the first time in months and months to DC for some dinner and girl talk with one of my favorite people to hang out with but have not seen in a long time when life took over and there were other higher priorities. Luckily my friends and I are completely understanding of each other! We met up at Ceiba a Latin American, Peruvian restaurant for restaurant week. Had some amazing food, great conversation, and it was wonderful to get out of the apartment!! Very much looking forward to doing it more often. :) On a side note I ordered some really cute Vince Camuto shoes on Amazon with my giftcards, and they should be arriving on monday.  (Pictured Above) :)

Today, my parents brought husband and I a really nice tv for our bedroom and I couldn't be happier. Now I don't have to sleep on the couch with the tv on when husband goes to work overnight! We can't wait to lounge in bed and watch tv togther. Other than that just ran errands and hung out with the rents all day and had a lot of fun. It's nice when they get a chance to come out our way!

This week at work I can't even predict I am expecting it to pick up any time now! How a safe rest of the weekend!
